Welcome to the D.C. #305FITFAM, Quiana!

Our Washington D.C. community is growing and we are ecstatic! The strong family we've developed in our new city has grown so much that we've brought on two new and amazing 305 instructors to help bring more bad-ass times available for you to get your sweat on at Body Smith gym. Take a moment to meet Quiana, and sign up for her next class here.

"Queen Q"

Girl crush much? Quiana -- pronounced key-ah-nah -- radiates beauty and power from the inside out. The moment this warrior goddess steps into the room, her presence is felt. Quiana’s fierce femininity and strong spirit will allow you to feel the joy of motion like you’re on stage with Beyoncé. When Quiana's not going ham on the dance floor, she's working full-time at the Middle East and Africa Center at the U.S. Institute of Peace. Warrior goddess, people, we're telling you!

Quiana’s class is all about inner strength, resilience, and fun-for-f*ck’s sake. So when you come, come ready to party anddd put in work. Quiana knows how to werk the crowd and pull a lil' somethin'-somethin' out of everybody, so don’t be surprised if you find yourself "feelin’ yaself" more than usual. This soulful-yet-spicy woman will give you an energy-packed class that’ll leave you drenched in sweat and with a huge smile on your face.

What's your favorite 90’s jam?

Anything SPICE GIRLS, but specifically "Spice Up Your Life". I was a total "stan" (stalker-fan) and had posters, wrapping paper, memorabilia, etc.

Who do you think would win in a dance-off between Beyonce and Janet Jackson, and why?

JANET JACKSON HANDS DOWN would beat Beyoncé in a dance battle. Janet is the OG, the creator, the visionary. No question, Janet would absolutely win.

What was the last meal you cooked?

I like to cook breakfast so the last meal I cooked was an egg, fried in olive oil with a sautéed tomato slice on a muffin.

If someone wrote a biography about you, what do you think the title should be?

Something along the lines of, "Unwritten". Thus far, I've journeyed down a path very much unmarked. I haven't had a plan. I have a wild imagination and tend to follow my dreams quicker than setting milestones. I've learned along the way to find balance, but I've taken much pride in living as freely as I've been fortunate to.

What’s the most money you’ve ever drunkenly spent at McDonald’s?

The most I have ever drunkenly spent at McNasty was probably $6 for that big ole box of nuggets and a small fry LOL.

What songs best describes your teaching style?

I LOVE music with deep bass drops and fun electronic sounds. "Braveheart" is definitely my favorite right now. I also love percussion sounds, so spicy salsa is definitely a good vibe for me.

What has been your favorite aspect of 305 fitness so far?

The camaraderie and community that it builds within and externally between clients and instructors. It's often hard to enjoy what you do for a career, let alone love what you do. I think that as a work environment, 305 has built a sustainable, fun atmosphere and that is then emulated by the clients and the energy they have between themselves. It's a culture!
