Here’s how to get where you need to go!




Our studio address for our Saturday and Sunday training is 33 E. 33 Street. in NYC, btw Madison and Park Avenues. We are offering a complimentary Master Class on Friday night at 7:30pm that will take place on the Upper East Side at 1440 Third Ave. btw 81st and 82nd Streets.

Fly: Check out flights to LGA, JFK or Newark. You can take trains or buses from all airports, but LGA will likely be the least expensive trip to the city if you plan to Uber/Lyft.

Drive: Numerous lots are available near the studio. Day rates are typically around $50. You can also find parking near your accommodations through Spothero.

Ride a train: Check out Amtrak to Penn Station, which is a short walk to the studio.

Take a bus: Check out Megabus, Bolt or Greyhound. Most bus drop-offs are at Port Authority, a short cab or subway ride to the studio.


Training will be Saturday and Sunday 8am - 6:30pm. We encourage you to arrive on Friday evening by 6pm in order to take a Master Class at 7:30pm (at 1440 Third Ave.) and meet your fellow trainees.

If you’re unable to make the Master Class, please be sure you arrive by Saturday, August 3 at 7:45am. Our training starts promptly at 8am on Saturday at our Midtown location, 33 E. 33 Street. Our workshop ends Sunday, August 4 at 6:30pm.


Getting a good night’s rest will be essential to your success! Be sure to pack earplugs, an eye mask, and anything else you may need so you can get the best nights of sleep on Friday and Saturday!

Airbnb: We highly recommend booking on Airbnb for solo travelers on a budget. Click on this link to explore or follow these steps:

  • Search Airbnb for "New York, NY”

  • Select your dates. Select how many guests (if solo traveler: 1 adult).

  • Then filter for "Entire Place" or "Private Room." 

  • You can filter for price. Most places in NYC will be between $50 - $120/night.

  • You can view the options via “Map” view to estimate how far the Airbnb will be from our studio. As a reference point, our studio is very close to the Met and Central Park.

Will there be breaks?
Training will be an intensive weekend and we will waste no time in preparing you for success! We will have 2 coffee breaks and a 1-hour lunch break on both days.

What should I pack?

  • 2-4 workout outfits (you may want to change during lunch)

  • Socks and sneakers

  • A hoodie/sweatshirt

  • Make-up, hoop earrings, hats, accessories or anything else you like to rep your style — a photographer will be on site on Sunday!

  • Room in your suitcase — 305 activewear and equipment will be available for purchase

Who else will be there?
Request to join our Facebook Group: 305 Certification: NYC Weekend Warriors (Aug 3-4). Meet your fellow instructors-in-training. This is a great place to also connect about accommodations if you’re looking to save money with a shared Airbnb or hotel room.

Do you have showers?
Yes! We have a full-service locker room with showers and towels.

Can I buy 305 apparel while I’m there?
Yes! Our front desk will be available to take your orders on Saturday at 4:45pm and on Sunday at 1:00pm. You will receive a discount on all apparel and merch. We accept all credit cards. Apparel items range between $25 - $90. We can’t wait for you to rep our 305 gear!

Are there other goodies I should budget for?
Yes, we recommend you purchase:

  • LED lights: $39/light — this weekend only. We recommend you purchase 4-5 lights to fully transform a dance studio into a nightclub ambiance. These are state-of-the-art and normally retail for $100+/fixture. After the weekend, they will be available for purchase online for $59/light.

  • Branded gliding discs: $6/pair of discs — this weekend only. These are awesome, powerful tools to help you better train your classes for LEGS and CORE days. We recommend you purchase 10 - 20 pairs of discs if your budget allows. They are a great investment in your future as a group exercise instructor. After the weekend, they will be available for $10/pair.

  • Branded booty bands: $15/set of 10 bands — this weekend only. These are awesome, highly portable pieces of equipment that allow you to add an extra oomph in your classes. After the weekend, they will be available for $25 for 10.

Bring room in your suitcase for the equipment! Don’t wanna check a bag? No worries. We’re happy to ship it to ya for $25.



Can I take class at the studio before or after training?

If you’d like to get to NYC before training or stay after, we will comp you 2 spots into any 305 Fitness class of your choosing for free. In addition, you may attend the Master Class on Friday evening at 7:30pm on the Upper East Side for free.

How do I sign up for a class?

In order to sign up for a class or two, visit our online schedule. Log in using your existing account if you have one. If you don’t yet have an account, we’ve created one for you using your email and your password is 305fitness all lowercase. We encourage you to book in advance and take classes in the mid-morning or afternoon. Our early morning and evening classes tend to be very full! You can use both credits for yourself or you can guest a friend using one of your credits.

How do I sign up for the Master Class on Friday?

You do not need sign up for the Master Class on Friday. This class will not be on our public schedule, as it is instructors-only. The class will be 45 minutes at our Upper East Side studio (1440 Third Ave). Note: This is a different location as our Saturday/Sunday training.

Can I arrive late or leave early?
Certification will be obtained by completing the entire weekend training course and passing the practical exam. If you have a scheduling conflict, please let us know ASAP at training@305fitness.com.

How do I know if I’m certified?
On the Sunday afternoon of the training weekend, all participants will undergo a 10-minute practical exam. You will be responsible for leading a small group through a choreography song and a toning routine with clear, confident cues. If you pass this practical exam, you will be immediately certified with the rights to use the 305 name. If you do not pass the practical exam, you are given an opportunity to re-test either in person or with a video submission.

Can I bring someone?
Certification weekend is by invitation only. If you have friends who are interested, please have them apply. If you have children or others who you cannot leave at home, we recommend you find childcare at a nearby facility.

In certain cases, we may be able to issue a refund. You can request a refund by emailing us at training@305fitness.com
