DJ SPOTLIGHT: MEET NORA (AKA DJ TOP KNOT)
If you live in Boston, you've probably heard DJ Nora spin. Also known as DJ Top Knot (since 90% of the time her hair is piled on top of her head), this Boston baddie got her start DJing a party boat cruise in college- and the rest is history. We're obsessed with the fun, vibrant, feminine energy she brings to the dance floor, so we wanted to learn a little more about what makes Nora tick.
Ok, first things first- what's something you can't live without?
Justin's Peanut Butter Cups and scarves (I'm ALWAYS cold!).
What's your all time favorite song?
"How Will I Know" by Whitney Houston and "Buttons" by The Pussycat Doll.
What's your main style of music?
I. LOVE. POP. Especially pop songs from the early 2000s.
What's your personal mantra?
Now that you don't have to be perfect, you can be good. - John Steinbeck
If you weren't a DJ, what would you spend your days doing?
I would for sure be working in food (which I kind of already do- I help my BF run his cafe). I love the idea of being a farmer in a very warm climate.
What's something you want to accomplish before you die?
I have two: qualify for the Boston Marathon and live in a house (or apartment) with a washer, dryer AND dishwasher.
What's the craziest thing you've done?
I took a spontaneous solo trip to Costa Rica to help out on a farm.
