I’m proud to wear this jacket (ultimate level of legitness when there’s embroidery involved🕴🏽). It took hard work, persistence and a real love for this movement to become a Master Instructor. My choices and journey were constantly laced with doubt: why was I dedicating so much of myself to this? Couldn't I just be happy borrowing my aunt's INSANITY video set for the rest of my life?😩 . . I joined the #VixenArmy because I felt that I had found a community where I could pretend and eventually become a bolder, confident version of myself. I can without a doubt say that @VixenWorkout affected the progress of my personal and professional life (btw! I have a day job - hmu on LinkedIn 😉 lol). . I became an instructor because I wanted to give back to the community - nurture and expand our safe space. I was tired of walking into the gym, dance studio, the club, pretty much anywhere feeling self-conscious about the way I looked and moved. I am free of that with Vixen, and feel the happiest when I get to share that feeling with others. Even if it’s just for one hour, I see people flourish, a light within them sparked. Sometimes that light is only on for our one hour of class, but other times, and these are my favorite times, that light doesn’t go out. It walks out the door with you and grows brighter. If you think I sound crazy (like Winona Ryder in Stranger Things with all these talks of lights), you need to check out a class. I really don't know how else to explain it. . It's been a whole new adventure building the #VixenArmyDMV. I wanted to give free classes this month as a token of gratitude and to give those that may not have the resources the chance to experience class.
